Your itinerary
Day 1Arusha – Tarangire National Park+
Your guide collects you from your Arusha hotel for the drive to Tarangire. Explore the Tarangire River, savannah and baobab country in search of elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffaloes, impalas and predators. Enjoy a picnic lunch and afternoon game drive before transferring to your lodge or camp in the Tarangire, Karatu or Mto wa Mbu area. Lunch and dinner included.
Day 2Tarangire area – Lake Manyara National Park+
After breakfast, drive to Lake Manyara for a game drive through groundwater forest and along the Rift Valley escarpment. Look for elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, baboons, monkeys, waterbirds and the park’s famous tree-climbing lions, although sightings are never guaranteed. Enjoy a picnic lunch and, subject to availability, add the Canopy Tree Walk before returning to your lodge or camp. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.
Day 3Lake Manyara – Mto wa Mbu – Arusha+
After breakfast, choose an optional cultural experience around Mto wa Mbu, including a local market, community enterprise or selected cultural attraction, or enjoy an additional morning wildlife experience. After lunch, return to Arusha with an optional stop for local crafts, arriving in the late afternoon or early evening.
